South Carolina's new Surf Fishing Laws go in effect July 1, 2009 Anyone surf fishing will be required to have a surf water fishing license. The rates are as follows: A 14-day non-resident license is available for $11 while an annual non-resident license is $35. South Carolina residents can fish from shore legally by purchasing either a 14-day resident license for $5 or an annual resident license for $10.
